The next meeting of the Commodity Market Efficiency and Competition Working Group of the Commission on Business Environment and International Ratings was held in online format. The Ministry of Economy, State Service for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the Ministry of Economy, State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy, State Statistics Committee, Central Bank, State Oil Company, "Quality Association" Public Union, "PricewaterhouseCoopers Azerbaijan", as well as private sector representatives participated. At the meeting, the presentation of the final draft of the diagnosis matrix for the "Market Competition" indicator of the World Bank Group's "Convenient Business Environment" project and the implementation status of the relevant clauses of the Working Group's Action Plan for 2022 for the half-year period were discussed.

Information exchanged about the issues arising from the implementation of priority areas of the Working Group for 2022, upcoming tasks and recently implemented reforms, especially the draft of legislative changes in the field of competition and public procurement.

At the end of the meeting, in order to ensure the timely and effective implementation of the measures provided for in the Action Plan, a decision was made to prepare a Road Map for 2022-2023 on making additions to the diagnostic matrix for the "Market Competition" indicator and implementing improvements in the relevant field related to the mentioned indicator.
