The meeting provided information on the procedures for using the Quality Information System, the official documentation of calibration results, and the relevant legislative requirements.

An awareness-raising meeting on the procedures for using the Quality Information System (e-keyfiyyet.gov.az) and the relevant legislative requirements was held at the State Agency for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan with accredited calibration laboratories. Nearly 20 representatives of 15 calibration laboratories took part.

During the meeting, Bahruz Bakhshaliyev, Head of Sector at the Standardization, Technical Regulation and Certification Division, stated that, pursuant to amendments to the legislation, conformity assessment activities carried out by accredited conformity assessment bodies, including the official documentation of calibration results by calibration laboratories, must be conducted through the Quality Information System.

Nariman Kamalli, a staff member of the same Division, delivered a presentation on the documents created and formalized through the information system, as well as statistical data on the measures taken by the State Agency with respect to entities engaged in conformity assessment activities.

The meeting also addressed the electronic issuance of calibration certificates for measuring instruments, which calibration laboratories provide to their customers through the Quality Information System using ASAN Imza or another electronic signature. It was noted that electronically generated documents carry QR codes enabling their identification and authentication, thereby facilitating their recognition and strengthening citizens’ confidence in the relevant institutions.

At the conclusion of the meeting, participants’ questions were answered and their suggestions were heard.
