The next meeting of the Commodity Market Efficiency and Competition Working Group of the Commission on Business Environment and International Ratings was held in online format.

At the meeting, the World Bank Group's presentation on the "Favorable Business Environment" project, the compilation of the diagnostic matrix for the "Market Competition" indicator of the project, and the Action Plan of the working group for 2022 were discussed.

The participants were informed about the issues arising from the implementation of the priority areas for 2022 of the working group, the upcoming tasks and the reforms implemented in recent times, especially the changes made in the legislation in the field of public procurement.

The meeting held in the format of mutual discussions with representatives of the private sector was attended by the representatives of Ministry of Economy, the State Service for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the Ministry of Economy, the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy, the State Statistics Committee, the Central Bank, the State Oil Company, the "Quality Association" public union, PricewaterhouseCoopers Azerbaijan and other companies.

At the end of the meeting, a decision was made to create a working group to compile a diagnostic matrix for the "Market competition" indicator in order to ensure the timely and effective implementation of the measures provided for in the Action Plan.
