The new state standard named AZS 905: 2021 “Tea and tea products. Terms and definitions” were adopted which is defining terms and definitions in the field of production, storage, transportation, and sale of tea and tea products.

The draft standard was approved by the Azerbaijan Standardization Institute, a public legal entity (AzStand) subordinated to the State Service for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the Ministry of Economy, based on the presentation of the Technical Committee for Standardization of “Fruit, Subtropical Plants, and Tea Products” and included into the State Fund of the normative documents on standardization.

The terms defined in the new standard will be used in the production, storage, transportation, and sale of tea and tea products. Besides, the adopted definitions are envisaged to be used in all types of documentation and literature in this area.
