The Azerbaijan Accreditation Center (AzAK) subordinated to the State Service for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the Ministry of Economy and the Turkish Accreditation Agency (TURKAK), have signed a consulting and training agreement to bring the accreditation system in line with international requirements in Azerbaijan.
According to the agreement, TURKAK will fully implement the international standard ISO / IEC 17011: 2017, which defines the requirements for accreditation bodies, at the Azerbaijan Accreditation Center and work will be done to strengthen the technical capacity of the institution.
The organization of AzAK's activities in accordance with international standards will allow the organization to be accepted as a full member of international accreditation organizations and the results of the assessment of accredited conformity assessment bodies to be recognized at the international level. This will ensure that the services provided by the conformity assessment bodies to be accredited by the AzAK are brought to the international level and that the accuracy of the conformity assessment results increase will be provided.
