The State Service for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the Ministry of Economy has decided to file a lawsuit against “Aztelekom” Limited Liability Company for violations of antitrust law in connection with the appeals of a number of private Internet service providers on the use of public telecommunications networks.
During the hearing, it was noted that the organization of telecommunications activities in accordance with the policy of digital transformation of "Aztelekom" LLC, as well as measures taken to expand public-private partnerships would eliminate dissatisfaction in this area, and that their appeals will be considered within the requirements of the law without discrimination.
Furthermore, it was noted that the decision of the State Service to consider the applications of market participants to create a competitive environment in the provision of telephone services by “Aztelekom” LLC, as well as the adoption of general rules providing access to the network, clear and equal terms of rent, rental tariffs, documents on the official website should be provided by April 30, 2022.
During the consideration of the case in the State Service, the proceedings on the case were terminated, taking into account the obligations assumed by "Aztelekom" LLC, as well as the above-mentioned circumstances and the guarantees.
The decision also states that in the future, if there will be obstacles in the activities of market participants in the provision of telephone services, and in case of non-fulfillment of the above obligations by “Aztelekom” LLC, the State Service will take measures in accordance with the legislation on natural monopolies.
