The new functionality introduced in the e-keyfiyyet.gov.az information system will make it possible to verify the authenticity of certificates of origin, thereby helping local exporters avoid additional time and financial losses in importing countries.

A new functionality has been introduced in the Quality Information System (www.e-keyfiyyet.gov.az), developed and operated by the State Agency for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Specifically, the “Certificate of Origin” submodule of e-keyfiyyet.gov.az now makes it possible to verify the authenticity of such certificates. Users can view a copy of a certificate of origin and verify its authenticity by entering the certificate number, date and invoice number in the “Information Services” section of the Quality Information System.

The new functionality, which is available in Azerbaijani, Russian and English, will give the customs authorities of importing countries access to information on the authenticity of certificates of origin issued in the Republic of Azerbaijan. This, in turn, will help local exporters avoid additional time and financial losses in importing countries.
