Taking into account the difficulties in the supply of grain in the world market and in the region, the quality indicators of the wheat supplied in our country were discussed at the extraordinary online meeting of the "Grain and grain products" and "Food product quality and technology" technical committees in order to ensure the stability of consumable wheat supply.

Requirements for the quality indicators of the supplied grain were analyzed at the meeting held with the participation of the "Azerbaijan Standardization Institute" public legal entity, as well as the representatives and experts of the State Reserve Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, under the authority of the State Service for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the Ministry of Economy.

At the meeting, it was decided to make changes to the state standard AZS 888:2020 "Wheat. Technical conditions" in accordance with the "On Standardization" Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan

It should be noted that the changes made in the state standard will create conditions for expanding the selection possibilities and supply potential of consumable wheat imported into the country.
