The seminar "International Experience in National Standardization Activities" was organized by the German Standards Institute as part of the Twinning project "Support to the Azerbaijan Standardization Institute" realized with the support of the European Union. Representatives of the State Service for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the Ministry of Economy, Azerbaijan Standardization Institute, technical committees on standardization and foreign experts took part in the event.

Ilham Bayramov, Acting Director General of "Azerbaijan Standardization Institute", emphasized that standardization is the basis of quality infrastructure, noted the role of technical committees in the development of this field, and drew attention to the importance of "Support to Azerbaijan Standardization Institute" Twinning project in terms of strengthening personnel potential.

At the seminar, presentations and discussions were held by foreign experts on trade stimulation through standardization, application of international experience in national standardization activities, involvement of interested parties in technical committees and other topics.
