Representatives of the public legal entity "Azerbaijan Standardization Institute" (AZSTAND) participated in the annual meeting of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) held in the United Arab Emirates.

Within the framework of the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between AZSTAND and Kazakhstan Institute of Standardization and Metrology in the field of halal quality infrastructure.

The parties agreed on the exchange of experience on relevant standardization activities of halal products, training of experts, technical cooperation and stimulating measures for certification of halal products.

According to the agreement, the preparation of standards for halal products and services will be carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation - Institute of Standardization and Metrology of Islamic Countries.
