A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Metrology Institutes of Azerbaijan and Türkiye

The Azerbaijan Metrology Institute (AzMI) public legal entity subordinated to the State Service of Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the Ministry of Economy has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the "National Metrology Institute of the Turkish Scientific and Technological Research Organization" (TUBITAK UME) in order to improve the field of metrology and increase new measurement capabilities.

According to the document, the parties will implement joint projects in the direction of development and updating of national benchmarks to increase efficiency, joint research activities in the direction of protecting state benchmarks, development of new methodologies for various types of measurements, involvement of experts and consultants in the field.

Within the framework of the business meeting, Mustafa Chetintash, the head of TUBİTAK UME, got acquainted with the activities of the measurement laboratories of AzMI and the state standard keepers, and expressed his views on the importance of mutual experience exchange between institutions and cooperation in the field of quality infrastructure.

Mustafa Chetintash, head of TUBITAK UME, also met with Mammad Abbasbeyli, head of the Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control State Service.

At the meeting, discussions were held on the creation of new laboratories at AzMI, improvement of existing reference laboratories, and cooperation prospects within the framework of the signed Memorandum.
