The country has adopted a new version of the international standard ISO 22000: 2018, the state standard AZS ISO 22000: 2022 "Food safety management systems - requirements for all organizations involved in the food chain."
The standard project on the establishment of the “Quality Association” Public Union has been included in the State Fund for Standardization in normative documents on standardization by the Azerbaijan Standardization Institute, a public legal entity subordinated to the State Service for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the Ministry of Economy.
The application of the standard will serve to manage the safety and quality of food products and to bring the activities of those involved in the chain in this area in line with relevant requirements, and to improve the quality of additional food products.
