To further improve the quality of preventive and prophylactic measures against new coronavirus (COVID-19) variants and bring them into line with international requirements, a new state standard AZS ISO/PAS 45005:2022 "Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems - General Guidelines for Safe Working during the COVID-19 Pandemic" was adopted based upon the international standard ISO/PAS 45005:2020.

The draft new standard, developed with the support of the Quality Association Public Union, was approved by the Azerbaijan Standardization Institute (AZSTAND) public legal entity subordinate to the State Service for Antimonopoly Policy and Consumer Market Control under the Ministry of Economy and included in the State Fund of normative documents on standardization.

The introduction of the new standard will serve both the establishment of safe working conditions at enterprises and their sustainable and efficient operation during the pandemic.
