Azerbaijan’s National Time Standard — UTC(AZ) — provides for the display of internationally validated accurate time in the country, enabling citizens to set their clocks accordingly.

The Azerbaijan Metrology Institute (AzMİ), operating under the State Agency for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, has taken another important step in the implementation of the national time standard in the country.

Azerbaijan’s National Time Standard — UTC(AZ) — is now displayed on the Clock Tower located within the Seaside National Park. An information stand has also been installed near the tower to raise visitors’ awareness of the national time standard.

It should be noted that the display of UTC(AZ) on the Clock Tower not only provides access to internationally validated accurate time in the country but also enables citizens to adjust their clocks accordingly.

Note: Azerbaijan’s National Time Standard — UTC(AZ) — was approved by the International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM) in November 2025 and is of significant importance for establishing a unified and reliable time infrastructure in the country.
