The awareness-raising event provided an overview of the legal foundations of public procurement and detailed information on methods for organizing and planning procurement processes.
Another open lesson, aimed at enhancing students’ knowledge of public procurement, was held jointly by the State Agency for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Baku Business University.
At the open lesson, Orkhan Mammadov, Deputy Head of the Agency’s Apparatus, gave a presentation on the nature and significance of public procurement and the Agency’s supervisory functions in this field.
The presentation explained the key concepts used in the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Public Procurement” and gave detailed information on the planning, organization and methods of procurement processes. Explanations were also given on the specific features of public procurement oversight and the nature of the Agency’s regulatory functions in this area.
Students’ questions were answered with practical examples.
