Further Open Lessons on Consumer Rights Held for Schoolchildren

Young consumers studying at general education schools were informed about their rights through practical examples and provided with recommendations on how to protect and exercise those rights.

In connection with 15 March – World Consumer Rights Day, the State Service for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, with the support of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, organized meetings with young consumers studying at general education schools in Baku.

As part of the initiative, further open lessons were organized for students of Secondary School No. 5 in Nasimi District and Secondary School No. 202 in Narimanov District, with the aim of providing school-age children with basic knowledge of consumer rights.

During the open lessons, representatives of the State Service delivered presentations and provided practical explanations to help young consumers better understand their rights. Students were informed about the rules to be followed when exchanging or returning goods, as well as goods that are not subject to exchange. They were also provided with recommendations on exercising their rights to obtain information and make a free choice when purchasing goods in stores or using various services.

During the meetings, students’ questions on the subject were answered and clarification was provided on issues of interest to them.
