The State Service for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan continues a series of awareness-raising initiatives dedicated to 15 March – World Consumer Rights Day. As part of this initiative, an open lesson was organized for students of Azerbaijan Tourism and Management University.

During the open lesson, presentations entitled “Key Consumer Rights and Mechanisms for Their Protection” were delivered by Azad Mammadov, Deputy Head of the Consumer Market Control Division, and Samir Aliyev, Deputy Head of the Consumer Rights Protection Division of the State Service.

The presentations provided information on the rights of consumers established by legislation, the mechanisms available for protecting these rights, and the organization of state oversight in the relevant field.

Students were also informed about the key considerations when purchasing goods or using services, the authorities they may contact in cases of violations of their rights, and available legal remedies. It was noted that the initiatives implemented by the State Service to enhance consumers’ legal literacy are aimed at raising consumer awareness, protecting their rights, and strengthening public oversight in this field.

During the open lesson, practical examples related to the subject were presented and students’ questions were answered.
