Young consumers studying at general education schools were informed about their rights through practical examples, and their questions were answered.

As part of the awareness-raising activities held in connection with 15 March – World Consumer Rights Day, meetings with young consumers studying at general education schools in Baku are continuing. The initiative is organized by the State Service for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, with the support of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

With the aim of providing school-age children with basic knowledge of consumer rights, further open lessons were held for students of Secondary School No. 121 in Khazar District and Secondary School No. 235 in Pirallahi settlement.

During the open lessons, representatives of the State Service delivered presentations and provided young consumers with detailed information on the rules to be followed when exchanging or returning goods, as well as on goods that are not subject to exchange.

Students were also provided with practical examples explaining their right to obtain information and the right to make a free choice when purchasing goods in stores or using various services. Recommendations were provided on how to protect and exercise these rights.

During the meetings, students’ questions on the subject were answered and clarification was provided on issues of interest to them.
