The Azerbaijan Metrology Institute (AzMI), operating under the State Service for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, has signed an agreement with the Institute of Metrology of Bosnia and Herzegovina (IMBIH).

The agreement aims to strengthen scientific and technical cooperation in the field of metrology, facilitate the exchange of technical knowledge and expertise, develop and improve measurement standards, and implement joint research and innovation projects. In addition, the document provides for expanding cooperation in legal and industrial (applied) metrology, enhancing human resource capacity, and promoting the international recognition of metrological services.

Under the agreement, the parties will conduct joint scientific research activities and cooperate in areas including mutual support in metrological services, as well as the organization of training programmes and practical seminars.

The agreement will also facilitate participation in interlaboratory comparisons, the alignment of laboratories with international quality standards, and the exchange of experience in conformity assessment procedures.
