An educational meeting was held by the State Agency for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan with entrepreneurs engaged in the sale of jewelry products at Lachin Shopping Center.

The meeting aimed to inform entrepreneurs about the legal requirements governing the circulation of products made of precious metals and gemstones, provide clarifications on the implementation of the state assay control system, and address practical issues arising in this area.

During the meeting, participants were provided with detailed information on the legal requirements governing the circulation of products made of precious metals and gemstones, assaying procedures, the rules for conducting state assay control, and the rights and obligations of business entities. Explanations were also provided on the state fees established under the legislation for the application of official hallmarks to products, as well as the relevant procedures and payment mechanisms.

Participants were additionally informed about the liability established under the legislation for offering for sale or placing into circulation products made of precious metals without official hallmarks.

The meeting concluded with an exchange of views on entrepreneurs’ feedback and suggestions, followed by a Q&A session addressing their questions.
