Open Lessons on Consumer Rights Held for Schoolchildren

Young consumers studying at general education schools were informed about their rights through practical examples and provided with recommendations on how to protect and exercise those rights.

As part of the series of awareness-raising activities dedicated to 15 March – World Consumer Rights Day, meetings with young consumers, organized by the State Service for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan with the support of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, are continuing.

In this context, further open lessons were organized for students of Secondary Schools No. 51, No. 166 and No. 167 in Baku.

During the event, representatives of the State Service delivered presentations and provided students with information on the rules to be followed when exchanging or returning goods, as well as on goods that are not subject to exchange.

Young consumers were also provided with practical examples explaining their rights to obtain information and make a free choice when purchasing goods in stores or using various services.

During the open lesson, students’ questions on the subject were answered, and they were provided with recommendations on how to protect and exercise their consumer rights.
