On the occasion of the 34th anniversary of the Khojaly Genocide, the staff of the State Service for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan visited the “Mother’s Cry” Memorial, erected in memory of the victims of the tragedy. Wreaths and flowers were laid at the memorial, and the cherished memory of the victims of the genocide was solemnly commemorated.
In addition, a commemorative event dedicated to the 34th anniversary of the Khojaly Genocide was held at the State Service. The event began with a minute of silence in memory of the victims of the tragedy.
This was followed by presentations addressing the historical facts surrounding the Khojaly massacre, the grave consequences of the tragedy, and efforts undertaken to convey its historical context to the international community.
It was noted that the restoration of Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity and sovereignty under the leadership of Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Victorious Commander-in-Chief, the bringing to justice of individuals accused of committing war crimes, and the pursuit of historical justice demonstrate, according to the event participants, that justice has been served for the victims of the tragedy.
A short film dedicated to the Khojaly Genocide was also screened during the event.
