On the occasion of the 36th anniversary of 20 January – National Mourning Day, the staff of the State Service for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan visited the Alley of Martyrs.
The memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the independence and sovereignty of Azerbaijan was commemorated with deep respect and reverence, and floral tributes were laid at their graves.
In addition, a commemorative event was held at the State Service on the occasion of 20 January – National Mourning Day. During the event, a one-minute silence was observed in memory of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of their homeland.
This was followed by speeches addressing the impact of the events of 20 January on the process of national awakening and their role in strengthening the spirit of freedom among the Azerbaijani people. It was noted that this tragedy has become a symbol of the Azerbaijani people’s struggle for independence and sovereignty and will remain forever in the national memory as a proud chapter embodying the national will.
